Weed Control Guide For New Lawns
Apply a Crabgrass Preventer prior to
March 1 in the Southern half of the US or prior to April
1 in the Northern half of the US.

Use a product with fertilizer for cool
season grasses such as Fescue.

Use a product without fertilizer for
warm season grasses such as Bermuda and Centipede.
Apply an herbicide from early to late spring as temperatures
permit.

Apply at temperatures below 85°

Apply when the grass is moist so that the herbicide will
stick to the weeds.

Apply when no rain is expected for 48 hours.

Avoid mowing 1 to 2 days after application.

DO NOT reseed for at least 3 to 4 weeks after
application.

DO NOT apply to newly seeded or sodded lawns until after
3 mowings.

Avoid contact with desirable vegetation.
-
May re-treat if necessary in 30 days.

Always follow label directions.
Fertilize in late spring with a slow-release high nitrogen
