Recommended Grasses - The New England
territories are great areas for Kentucky Bluegrass. Sometimes Fine
Fescues and turf-type perennial rye are used in a mix. For lawns
that have proven difficult to establish a mixture of Fine Fescue
and Bluegrass should do well. Also Lime is a generally required
for grasses to grow properly in the
New England area. Usually around 50 to 200 pounds should be
applied per 1,000
square feet. - Obtain a pH test to determine soil needs.
Zoysia grass (warm season grass) is also planted in this state.
