Recommended Grass For New Hampshire Lawns
Recommended Grasses - The New England territories are great areas for
Kentucky Bluegrass. Sometimes Fine Fescues and turf-type perennial rye are used in a mix. Fine Fescue (Creeping Red or Hard) works well in shade areas. For lawns that have proven difficult to establish a mixture of Fine Fescue and Colonial Bentgrass may work. Creeping Bentgrass
(Penncross) is also used in New England states. Also Lime is a must for the New England area. Usually 50 to 200 pounds should suffice 1,000 square feet.
