Recommended Grasses - The New England
territories are great areas for
Kentucky Bluegrass. Sometimes Fine
Fescues and turf-type perennial rye are used in a mix. For lawns
that have proven difficult to establish a mixture of
Fine Fescue
and Colonial Bentgrass should do well. Also Lime is a must for the
New England area. Usually 50 to 200 pounds should suffice 1,000
square feet. Other Creeping Bent grasses including
Penncross
are grown in this area.
