Recommended Grass For West Virginia Lawns
Cool Season Grasses are the most common grasses in the Atlantic transitional states. Some of these varieties are Kentucky Bluegrasses, Fine
Fescues and turf-type perennial ryegrasses.
However in Delaware along with Southern Maryland and central and southern areas of New Jersey and West Virginia, Warm season grasses such as
Bermuda grasses and
Meyer-Zoysia grasses can be used due to the transitional nature of the area. Avoid cooler mountain areas with these grasses.
